College 2018 School Supply Haul

Hey guys! I don’t know if you all would be interested in this, but I wanted to do a “haul” of my school supplies and things I bring to school and use on a regular basis, minus the textbooks. 🙂 So…here it is! Let me know what you guys use down below, and don’t forget to subscribe to get new weekly posts! ❤

The backpack I use is the North Face Women’s Jester. Here’s why I love it!

a. It’s super comfy and doesn’t hurt my back when I am carrying a lot of books.

b. It fits a ton of stuff and has good organization pockets in the front.

c. It’s sporty, still cute and very practical.

d. It’s durable and cleans easily.

My first semester I bought an ASUS laptop because I needed something very fast for the design programs, because I was studying Interior Design. When I switched to business I wanted a laptop that was smaller, handier, simple, but still fast. So I sold my other one and bought a MacBook Air 13″. Three words suffice. I Love It!

So awesome. I don’t have an Apple phone so this was my first Apple product. It took a while for me to figure out the operating system and the interface, but overall it’s very user friendly and super handy for school. It has a long battery life and I love how thin and easy to carry around it is!

Next, these are the notebooks I am using for this semester. Just regular, college-ruled spiral bound ones, with pocket folders inside.

I am an absolute lover of pens and anything ‘office supplies’. And of course, school supplies is my favorite outlet for this. This year I got a set of PaperMate flair colored pens, ProMarx grippy pens in blue and black, two ComfortMate ULTRA mechanical pencils, a black Sharpie marker, Sharpie highlighters, and I have a few extra pens and pencils that I keep at home.

My pencil case is a faux leather one I found at TJMaxx. I think it’s really cute, and it holds all my pens, pencils, and a few extra things like a stapler.

One of the things I couldn’t live without in school is a planner. I love them (along with the pens :P) and get a new one every semester even though they aren’t even half finished. The one I am using this year is an Eccolo LTD, Dayna Lee collection planner, that is super cute. It’s smaller than the ones I usually get, but that’s what I wanted for this semester. I also use a note pad on my desk to write down reminders, quick notes or anything I don’t want to write in my planner.

Next, are a bunch of extra things I use during school.

  1. My TI-inspire CX (Texas Instruments graphing calc).
  2. Earbuds
  3. A mini stapler (highly recommend having one of these!)
  4. My Seagate Backup Plus Slim (for Mac)–very useful to have this computer backup. In school you want one in case your computer fails and you lose all your work! :/
  5. A POM Gear portable battery to recharge devices. I just bought this and don’t yet know how well it works.
  6. A Kingston 8GB flashdrive. I take this with me to school and use it for presentations or just a quick backup, while my other Seagate stays at home.

Last is my little bag of “purse supplies”. 🙂

I carry (other than wallet and phone and keys):

-a Pacifica perfume roll on

-a EOS lip balm

-a BurtsBees lip color

-a Tide mini stain remover

-a small pack of Kleenex

-some candy

-my sunglasses (Aviator ones like these)

So, what do YOU carry in your bag or backpack? Let me know if you’d like me to do more of this kind of thing! 🙂 ❤

P.S. I just started Bullet Journaling and I can’t wait to share my journal with you guys! Any tips are appreciated! Feel free to leave your journaling or school posts down below!

  1. Awesome, you’ll definitely enjoy your Mac. I am obsessed with mines. I love the brown faux leather pencil case I need to find it.
A quick tip, when taking pictures angle the phone over the items, capture the picture from upward position. If you prefer natural lighting, possibly open a window for the sunlight to come in. And maybe choose a neutral background color.
I’m no way a professional, just some things I learned along the way. I thought I could pass along some free tips. I love your blog. Its very organic and natural. Great to hear from teenagers and learn about life through their lens.
    See ya later!

  2. What a fun post, Myriam!! I love school supplies ❤ One of the tools I learned was a must have in college was white out. I use the rolled-up kind in the plastic dispenser.
I also carried essential oils in roller bottles to apply to my neck whenever I started feeling stressed- it really helped calm me!
